Leaky buildings could cost $10bn

Andrew McGregor presented a paper at the Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) conference in March 2006 titled "Accidents, Failures, Mistakes and Leaky Buildings" This attracted much interest during the conference and discussed two accident causation models relating these to the Erebus DC10 crash and the country's Leaky Building Syndrome. News leaked to a local newspaper which then published a condensed summary of the paper.
